This is a stupid comment. At best the class has some PVP complaints. On the PVE end of the spectrum, any spec can find its way into a *good* raiding guild at this point because the benefits are so great. The DPS specs offer more than adequate personal DPS (often competitive with the "primary" dps classes) and increase raid dps substantially with intelligent group setups. A resto shaman as a raid healer is beyond effective, no other class fulfills that role as well. As a primary single target healer, bit less so, but thats not atrocious either.
I wasn't lying when I said pretty much any shaman can write a ticket into most any raiding guild. Most raiding guilds will take a dogshit shaman who is able to hotkey stormstrike and totems or just close their eyes and hit chain heal, because the benefit is that great. The only barrier of entry is gear quality, which exists for every single other class in terms of trying to get into a T6 raiding guild, but I've seen it first hand even T6 guilds will gladly feed a shaman their rots as long as they show up, shit totems and hit heroism/bloodlust when told to.
