I couldn't agree more, trying to peg something to one genre or sub genres is retarded. It just doesn't work like that. What i did list have always felt like the roots to the larger picture of interwoven sub genres though.
The 6 I listed with examples of the sound i was talking about with them will give someone with no knowledge of electronic music a roundabout reference point on where to look in the future, should he like the sound.
