Strahan "held the Giants hostage" this past year by skipping training camp while debating retiring, I think they did alright.

At least he didn't continue playing and mail it in while he collected his paycheck because he didn't feel like playing on a "bad" team. Sounds kind of familiar, eh? Favre always gave it all he had, even if it sometimes got him into trouble. I don't get how you can hate him for retiring because he didn't like the situation he would be playing in next year, if that's even the actual reason he retired. If you hated your job and your boss ignored your complaints/suggestions, would you keep working there despite already having millions in the bank?

I don't believe he's actually retired, and won't believe it until he isn't out there to start their first regular season game.
