| Bhutan. It's god damn gorgeous. The metropolitan areas have large amounts of English speakers. Despite being an isolated and impoverished country (per capita income is about $1300 US per year) it's also one of the happiest countries in the world.
Unfortunately, it's a bitch to travel to for casual tourism. Only prepackaged deals arranged by the government AFAIK. Getting a working visa there is made even more difficult because they have formal relations with only a handful of countries of which the US isn't one. |
