It's no secret that we've been working on Fennin Ro for quite some time now.

Sometime around our last run, we found something very important out. Slowing Fennin Ro is a very very bad thing. I would keep doing the math and I would keep seeing 6,000 DPS. 6000dps on a mob like Fennin is just a sick, sick, sick thing. Unfortunately, these new fancy messages that we have now for slow mitigation had not been placed in game yet.

Through some parsing we realized that Turgurs was hasting the mob so decided to try Tagars, via the old slow mitigation bug. HALLELUJAH we thought! The bastard was being hasted by Turgurs, with Tagars we had much better luck.

Unfortunately, Tagars also hasted him; which we found out today after we ran some tests to try and compare what we had parsed in previous attempts. 58 FoH later, an unslowed Fennin Ro got the living hell beat out of him.

Anyways, yea he's dead.. WOOPEDY DO..

Yet strangely turned on at the same time.

The Fennin Ro script was up today and we were up for the challenge. First, let me just say that this is the longest fucking scripted event I've ever seen. In something I can only describe as strangely unbecoming of SoE, the event was also laid our pretty nicely.



Long... Hard... Rewarding...



Finally, after what seemed like four hours, we got a shot of the bling-bling:



Then spent the next two hours getting assraped with a spiked dildo - or at least that's what it looked like on my end, I could be wrong.

All was not lost, however, as we made out like bandits with the lewtz. Check it...



You see that shit? I couldn't even delete anymore crap to loot runes. I was OUT OF DAMN SPACE. It was a river... no... it was a goddamn monsoon of Runeage.

In short, it was a very fun event and we'll definitely be going back for payback.

When you're talking vital statistics on a mob and it becomes normal for you to say 'Its max hit is only 2750 non-defensive,' it's time to realize: This shit's straight up wack.

What's more crazy is staying alive through a mob that quad-rampages 3400's with a 2k AE.

But what really fucks your shit up is when you see this:

So we cleared the mother fucker today. Top to bottom - side to side? I don't know.

We call this area the "Field of Gib."


I had trains in this place today that would have put a 30 Chaos Boar/Chaos Wraith feast on Rallos Zek to shame. Looking back behind you and seeing a collective 1 million DPS on your ass is a sick rush. Knowing that if you are stunned even one time or even lag for a second, you're gib - it's just flat out scary.



So all this shit and I'm thinking, "Fennin gotta spawn."

*Knock-Knock-Knock*

Fennin wasn't home. Nothing we could do would spawn the little fella either. If you have any l33t beta information about this event, please send it to: GO FUCK YOURSELF GIMP, where it can be put to good use, we'll figure it out on our own.

Anyways, we also found out the RZ event was gimped/nerfed... and with any good nerf comes an influx of kills. Grats all!
